The Australian Ethical International Equities Trust won Best International Equities award in last week’s Australian Fund Managers Awards ceremony.

This is the first time that this or any award from the Australian Fund Managers Foundation has been won by an ethical/SRI fund.

The Trust beat Perennial and Platinum for the title of best global equities fund over FYE2014. It returned 25.7% for the year ending 30 June 2014.

“Our focus on finding good ethical investments within the ‘smart energy’ theme has delivered superior performance for our investors. We strongly believe that the world will align priorities to combat the risks of climate change, which will present investors with some great opportunities. We are proud to have been recognised by our peers and this award is a real testament to our process and Nathan’s ability as Portfolio Manager,” says David Macri CFA, Chief Investment Officer, Australian Ethical.

Nathan Lim, Portfolio Manager, International Equities Trust.
