Significant Event Notice

Planned limited service period 25 November to 12 December

Information to help you plan ahead

We wanted to let you know that there will be a limited service period from 25 November 2022 to 12 December 2022 to carry out some updates to our Managed Funds, related to the transfer of members from Christian Super into Australian Ethical Super.

This impacts our Managed Fund investors because our Managed Funds receive investments from our Super Fund. Unfortunately, this means that during this time there will be a delay in pricing transactions. Please read this communication carefully to understand what this means for you.

How will this limited service period affect you?

Between 25 November and 12 December 2022, there will be a delay in pricing transactions for any investments (all classes) in the following funds:

  • Australian Shares Fund
  • Balanced Fund
  • High Growth Fund
  • Diversified Shares Fund
  • International Shares Fund
  • Income Fund
  • Fixed Interest Fund

Services that won't change
  • You will still be able to log-in to the Australian Ethical Investor online portal and mobile app, as well as the Boardroom InvestorServe portal to see your account information. Your balance will be shown as at 24 November until the limited service period is completed.

  • If you have set up a Regular Investment Plan scheduled for 15 of November and 15 December these transactions won’t be impacted. In the unlikely event that the limited service period is extended, December Regular Investment Plan direct debits will still be processed as normal on 15 December.

  • You will still be able to make non-financial requests such as change of personal details which will continue to be processed as normal.

  • You will still be able to call us for assistance on 1800 021 227, 8.30am to 5.30pm AEST Mon-Fri.

Services that will be delayed
  • Although we will continue to receive new applications, additional investments and withdrawal requests as usual, these will not be priced or viewable in the investor portal until after the limited service period.

  • Importantly, all of these transactions will be priced as per normal, based on the date they were received. The funds for any withdrawal requests will not be paid to an investor’s bank account until after the limited service period has ended.

  • Any applications and application funds need to be received by Australian Ethical by 5pm (AEDT) on 24 November. Otherwise, we will process and price your application after the limited service period.

  • Any withdrawal requests need to be received by Australian Ethical by 3pm (AEDT) on 24 November. Otherwise, we will process and price your withdrawal after the limited service period.

If you need to make any changes to your account that may be affected by the limited service period, you may wish to make these prior to the dates provided above.

At the end of the limited service period

Once this period ends, your investment balance will be updated to the current unit price on the investor portal and the transactions noted above as being delayed will be processed per standard processing times. If there is any need to extend the limited service period, we will notify you in advance.

What do I need to do?

If you were planning on making any changes to your investment during the planned limited service period, then you may wish to do so as soon as possible.

If you weren’t planning on making any changes, then you aren’t required to take any action.

We realise that during this limited service period there will be a short window of time where your capacity to transact with us will be impacted. Rest assured your account is in good hands and you can always call us on 1800 021 227.
