Areas of focus

Stopping sources of carbon pollution

Stopping sources of carbon pollution

Australia is a global leader in the export of fossil fuels, so it’s important we shift domestic energy policies and energy creation towards cleaner solutions - while ensuring this process is equitable and empowering for all. We also need to ensure emissions from other important sectors, like food and transport, are rapidly reduced.

Supporting carbon sinks

Supporting carbon sinks

Temperate and tropical forests, seagrass meadows, tidal marshes and mangrove forests sequester large amounts of atmospheric carbon. They also provide vast biodiversity benefits for the planet, supporting most ecosystems that underpin life on earth.

Educating and empowering women and girls

Educating and empowering women and girls

Securing gender equality, providing women with greater access to education, and advancing women’s wellbeing to have autonomy over their social, economic and family lives is the leading solution to addressing climate change.
