** 'Inside Australia’s Super Funds: An Ethical Review of Investment Portfolios” (May 2026) The Mindful Investing analysis reveals $89bn across 15 super funds is invested in activities Australians say they’d avoid, which scales up to $450bn across the sector.

Billions invested in harm – without most Australians knowing

Eight in ten Australians want their super to avoid investing in companies linked to animal cruelty, environmental damage, human rights violations, social harm and weapons.

Yet analysis from Mindful Investing shows Australia’s largest super funds still expose members’ money to exactly these activities – through their MySuper and sustainable investment options.

Australian Ethical stands apart

Ethical investing isn’t something we’ve added on. It’s all we’ve done since 1986.

That’s why our MySuper Balanced option has the lowest total exposure across all issues of concern of any fund analysed by Mindful Investing.

Ethics isn’t black and white. In rare cases, we may invest in companies delivering significant overall benefit while actively engaging to address specific concerns.

We monitor closely. We engage rigorously. And when standards aren’t met, we divest. Read more about how we assess and review investments
