John is a highly regarded financial services executive with more than 35 years of experience across investment management, private client advisory, and wealth management in Australia and New Zealand, including over 20 years in Chief Executive Officer roles. 

In addition to leading Australian Ethical, John serves as a Non-Executive Director of Australian Philanthropic Services, Australia’s leading independent not-for-profit philanthropic services organisation, and is a member of the Funds Management Board Committee of the Financial Services Council.

John holds an MBA from Henley Business School (UK) and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD), recognising his extensive board and directorship experience across financial services and other sectors.

Chief Financial Officer

Mark is a seasoned financial services executive responsible for Australian Ethical’s financial management, business performance, organic and inorganic capital management, financial control, and fund accounting functions. He also serves as Chair of the Unlisted Asset Valuation Committee and Chair of the Unit Pricing Committee. Mark brings more than 30 years’ experience across financial services, funds management, superannuation and professional services, with a strong track record of financial stewardship, governance, and supporting sustainable business growth. 

Prior to joining Australian Ethical, Mark held senior finance leadership roles at Challenger, Perpetual, and Tyndall, following his early career with KPMG. He brings deep expertise in delivering strategic management to growing financial services businesses. 

Mark is a Chartered Accountant and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. 

Group Executive Superannuation

MEng

Maria leads Australian Ethical’s Superannuation business and is responsible for the strategic direction, growth and performance of the Group’s superannuation division, ensuring that the fund delivers exceptional outcomes for members and maintains a competitive, innovative, and member-centric offering. 

Maria has more than 20 years’ experience of executive leadership across strategic marketing, business development, and customer experience across financial services, telecommunications and technology, having previously held senior roles at neo-bank Volt, SocietyOne, OFX, AMP, Optus, and Virgin. She brings extensive experience in member growth, customer experience, digital transformation and building customer-centric businesses. 

Group Executive Asset Management and Chief Investment Officer

MEng, GAICD

Ludovic leads Australian Ethical’s Asset Management business and is responsible for investment strategy and performance across the Group’s investment capabilities, including product and distribution capabilities. He has over 30 years of experience in ESG investing, funds management, commercial and investment banking and financial advisory. 

Prior to joining, Ludovic was the Chief Investment Officer for the Clean Energy Finance Corporation, Australia’s Green Bank. He also had previous roles at Hastings Funds Management, Westpac, ABN AMRO, Macquarie Bank, UBS and BNP Paribas. 

Ludovic holds a Master of Engineering from Ecole Centrale de Paris, France, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. 

Chief Impact & Ethics Officer

Alison joined Australian Ethical in May 2023 to ensure our investments continue to meet our Ethical Charter and grow our positive outcomes for animals, people, and planet.

Alison has more than 20 years’ experience in responsible investment and stewardship, working with numerous industry leaders in her prior roles with Pendal and Regnan. A Chartered Accountant, Alison also completed a Master of Environment and was previously a corporate sustainability advisor with EY.

Chief Technology Officer

Conrad leads Australian Ethical’s technology and data functions, with responsibility for delivering capabilities that support the organisation’s strategic objectives, positive impact, and client outcomes. He plays a key role in leading technology transformation across the business, with a focus on modernising platforms, improving resilience, and enabling growth.

Conrad brings extensive international financial services experience across investment management, financial markets, and retail banking, having previously held roles with HSBC, Credit Suisse, and UBS. 

Chief People & Culture Officer

Eveline leads Australian Ethical’s people and culture function, driving initiatives that strengthen organisational capability, leadership, culture and performance in support of the company’s purpose and long-term strategy.

She is an experienced executive with a strong track record in strategic workforce leadership and organisational transformation, having held senior roles at First Sentier Investors, AMP Capital and Perpetual.

Chief Risk Officer

Natalie is a senior risk executive with more than 25 years’ experience leading risk, compliance, and governance functions across complex financial services organisations in Australia and internationally. She has a proven track record in enterprise and operational risk management, regulatory engagement, governance frameworks, and fostering strong risk cultures that support sustainable business outcomes.  

Natalie has held a number of executive leadership positions, including Chief Risk Officer at AMP Capital, as well as senior risk roles at AustralianSuper and Perpetual. She is a Certified Internal Auditor and holds a Bachelor of Business. 

Chief Operating Officer

Anthony has over 25 years’ experience in organisations providing superannuation, investment management, financial advice and banking services. Prior to holding senior executive roles in domestic and global businesses, Anthony provided legal advice and investment services to superannuation funds, sovereign wealth funds, central banks, investment corporations, charities and other not-for-profit organisations. 

Anthony has a Master of Laws degree and Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from UNSW Sydney, amongst other qualifications. He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
